(But I beg to disagree)

CHAWI’S NOTE

Forty-four days of impeachment trial proceeding, and now, the senator judges came up with a solid decision—- to convict the highest officer on judiciary, the Chief Justice Renato Corona.

A total of twenty senator judges including the presiding officer Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile were in favor for conviction and three voted for acquisition, namely Sen. Joker Arroyo, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago and Sen. Bongbong Marcos; that was the total votes garnered on the last historical impeachment trial (on SALN issue).

Even though a lot of people are rejoicing because the Chief Justice can now step down on his throne, I still stand that the accusations and allegations thrown and tossed on him were merely not worth impeachable. His unintentional mistake in jotting down his assets on his SALN (Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth) are simply not counted as ground for impeachment. I believe that his interpretation of the law on dollar accounts’ confidentiality is factual as well as the co-mingled fund account under his name, after all, he’s the Chief Justice, he knows the law more than anyone could. 

Impeachment is a very complex issue. It’s a political process, not a political assassination. Ever since the impeachment trial heralded, we can see that he’s been condemned and tortured emotionally by people who are trying to fuel the issue. Others were throwing black propagandas on him and dirty tactics to ruin his reputation and name that he’s been shielding for ever since, even his family, the Corona Clan and the Basas issue on land and properties were all exposed up, bringing the family dispute back into life again after thirty long years.

Impeachment is a sensitive matter. The fact that the country’s Chief Justice, the highest official on judiciary is on trial, then the prosecution team and the complainants must present accusations that are worth impeachable. Indeed, it’s true that this matter is a one step away of violating the constitution.  

CHIEF JUSTICE Renato Corona on day 42 trial! Finally he submitted his waiver stating that he’s now open to the idea that the impeachment court can now open his peso and dollar accounts, including his controversial Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth of course. He’s now ready to let them see UNCONDITIONALLY, his bank accounts. Well, I admire him for doing it so, kaso lang, hindi na daw ipapatawag ng court ang mga possible witnesses (Bank managers perhaps) to discuss this on the senate. What does this mean? That they will now just rely on the oral testimony of the Chief Justice? Hmmmmm. Let’s see. The final verdict will be, most probably on Tuesday whether the CJ will be acquitted or convicted. The decision will be of course up to the senator judges.

THE SANTIAGO-TULFO BRAWL

“A brawl erupted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 over cell phone photos of an actress berating a ground stewardess of a budget airline.”

Aaah. Trending yang balita na yan ngayon sa News and Current Affairs Programs. Honestly, mas nakatuned in ako nagyon sa ABS-CBN news, why? Kasi Nabother ako sa napanood kong news entry about that incident sa GMA news. I have nothing against them, you know. Medyo nararamdaman lang ako na may kinakampihan ang channel. Was it beacause of the fact that Claudine Baretto and Raymart Santiago are both GMA Artists? Hmmm. Sa TV5 naman, ganoon siguro talaga if the ones involve in the case ay part ng Network, medyo may himig ng pagkampi. Actually, inabangan ko talaga ang airing time ng T3 of the Tulfo Brothers coz Im pretty much sure na reresback ang magkapatid. And I was right. I was honestly amazed on their comments and reactions in the show which I considered as a brutal reaction. Hehe. It was A-S-T-I-G, maybe because wala pang nakakagawa ng ganoon in front of the national tv. Right at that moment, sabi ko, “Maraming babatikos dito”. And it happened, bumaha ng tawag ang ,MTRCB condeming the Tulfo Brother’s nasty attitude in Philippine Television.

Hindi natin alam kung sino ang nagsasabi ng totoo. Pati tayo naguguluhan. But these are just my reactions regarding the brawl that erupted in NAIA. Siguro habang binabasa niyo to, makikita niyo kung kaninong side ako kumakampi. Well then,enjoy reading.

1.  ‘Hindi sira ang CCTV, hindi lang gumagana” —NAIA. (KUDOS NAIA! Keep up the good work!! No CCTV only SiSi TV) Everyone wants to see the CCTV Video footage ng nangyari. NAIA Admitted na there was a CCTV Video at that particular location pero hindi nga lang gumagana (eh di parang wala na rin yun!). After that, Claudine’s party were demanding na ipakita ang CCTV footage, kesyo para malaman daw ang katotohanan na sila ang naagrabyado. Right there,while she was saying those words, medyo may nag “TING” sa utak ko, (like a bulb) Hahaha. It was a strategy or a trick to gain the sympathy of the Public para kamiphan sila. Kasi alam nilang wala talagang maipapakitang CCTV kahit anong gawin nila. Kaya kung sila man ang may kasalanan, hindi pa rin natin malalaman dahil hindi natin ever makikita. Sa panawagan nilang “Ilabas ang CCTV”, doon pa lang, mindset na ng public na “aahh, siguro sila talaga ang naagrabyado, kasi kung sila ang may sala,hindi nila idedemand na ilabas ang CCTV”. Just Saying.

2. Sabi ng side nila Claudine, kaya daw sila nagrereklamo sa Cebu Pacific desk ay because hindi nadala ang baggage nila. Sabi pa ni Raymart, inaatake may asthma daw ang anak nila, at andun ang sa baggage na hindi isinama sa eroplano ang medicine nito. Naisip ko, they just reasoned out that medicine and asthma thing para mabigyan ng much more justice ang pagwawala ni Claudine. The fact na may asthma pala ang anak nila, maaaring it means ay pwede itong atakihin ng sakit anytime, anywhere kaya I don’t get the point why they placed that medicine sa baggage nila. Dapat naka hand carry iyon! Maybe sa shoulder bag or small bag na pwedeng i.hand carry.Eh paano na lang kung inatake yung anak nila sa loob ng eroplano?

3.Parang ang babaw ng statement ni Raymartni tinanong daw niya ng maayos si Mon kung ano daw ang ginagawa nito tapos bigla na lang siyang sinuntok.Parang walang basehan yun for me, nanununtok ang tao kapag may nasaktan siya, kung hindi man nasaktan, siguradong may sapat na dahilan. Maaaring may nangyari muna sa time na yun, ayaw lang nilang sabihin.

4. Sabi pa nila, paglabag daw sa privacy ni Claudine dahil kunuhaan siya ng stolen picture ni Mon. Let me tell you this Claudine, you are a public figure! ARTISTA ka the, ginusto mo maging artista kaya face the consequences of being open to the public. Kaya wag kang magtataka kung may magpipicture sayo. Siguro kaya nagreact siya sa ginawa ni Mon dahil alam niyang masisira ang image niya dahil nagwawala siya sa airport. And in the first place, Mon is a journalist, and we all know the nature of this kind of job.

5. Hindi na ko nagtataka kung nasipa man ni mon si Claudine, kitang kita sa video via youtube na nakikisuntok at nakikisabunot pa si Claudine kay Mon. The judo black belter, Tulfo claimed that kicking Claudine when he fell was instinctive. He also said that it was Raymart who assaulted him, as shown in the video.

6. Walang basehan ang kasong Child Abuse na isasampa nina Claudine, sabi nila natrauma daw ang anak nila sa nangyari, but, look, well kasalanan naman ni Claudine kung bakit natrauma man ang mga bata. Dapat kasi, nasipa na pala siya ni Mon, inilayo na dapat ni Claudine ang mga youngsters noong nakita niyang nagkakagulo na, hindi yung nakikisapakpa siya, as shown in the video. Babae siya, hindi siya dapat nakikigulo, nakikisuntok at nakikisapak. Enebeyan!

These are just my reactions. Hindi sa Thrilla in NAIA , the Santiagao-Tulfo Brawl ako nabobother, I was alarmed sa fact na HINDI PALA GUMAGANA ANG CCTV SA NAIA! NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) General manager Angel Honrado admitted there was no CCTV in the carousel area that could have captured the brawl that happened between broadcaster and newspaper columnist Mon Tulfo and Raymart Santiago after the latter’s wife, Claudine Barretto  berated a Cebu Pacific ground stewardess for her lost baggage. PAANO NA LANG KUNG MAY MANGYARING MAS MASAMA sa lugar na iyon? Tapos walang CCTV? SHAME! The Terminal Fee is 200 pesos. Maraming labas masok na foreign and local tourists sa NAIA, imposibleng walang pambili ng CCTV Camera. Maliit na computer shop nga meron eh!

MANILA, Philippines – “Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited” big winner Slater Young said he is ready to learn the ropes of show business. In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Young said he is excited to get into the entertainment industry because it has really been his dream. “I’d really love to try my hand at showbiz,” he said. Young said he would like to work with actresses Anne Curtis, KC Concepcion and Kim Chiu if given the chance. While he acknowledged that there are a lot of talented and good-looking actors in the industry, he said he believes he can still shine in tough world of showbiz. “I’d like to think I have something different to offer. Napakita ko naman sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya, I have the brains,” he said. Cloud nine Meanwhile, the “PBB” winner said every thing hasn’t sunk in yet and that he is still in cloud nine after the “PBB Unlimited: Big Night” on Saturday. “Parang panaginip pa rin lahat grabe from last night until here, being with you. Pamu Pamorada of Batangas finished second after gaining 21.49% of the votes. Trailing by only 10 percentage points of the votes was third placer Joseph Biggel, who got 21.39% percent of the votes, while former house player and wildcard housemate Paco Evangelista came fourth with 17.10% of the votes. The successful Big Night ruled the trending topics on Twitter, with the term ‘Congrats Slater’ peaking at number one worldwide. I can’t help but to laugh on my initial reaction kanina. Hingang Malalim….at tili ng bonggang bongga! Slater for Big Winner. Never mind the million and everything. MALUPIT NA HAGUPIT NG PAG-IBIG

Gaano katindi ang love? Isipin mo, nagagawa nitong mapaghintay ang mainiping tao,masaktan ang manhid, maging sweet ang bitter, mapalambot ang matigas ang puso,mapatawa ang isang malungkot, gawing corny ang mga seryoso, mapatino ang mga basagulero, mapatawa ang mga suplado….at higit sa lahat…gawing tanga ang isang matalinong tao. Lecheng Pag-Ibig yan !

Ayokong mainlove…kasi sabi ni nanay, pag na-inlove ako… masisira raw ang kinabukasan ko. Kaya simula noong bata pa ako, itinanim ko sa utak ko na bawal ma-inlove. Pero iba nga talaga kapag puso na ang nagdikta. Magiging sunud-sunuran ka. Mapapako lahat ng pinangako mo sa sarili mo, masusuway lahat ng batas na ginawa mo, mabubura sa isip mo ang pananaw na pinanghahawakan mo….in-short…mawawalaka sa sarili mo, friend. Kung inaakala mong malakas ka, at kayang mong pigilan ang sarili mo sa mga bagay na ayaw mong mangyari, pagdating sa love, magugulat ka na lang at magiging alaipin ka nang puso mo. Ganoon kalupet ma inlove. Napakasarap na feeling…..pero pagkatapos mong maramdaman iyon, siguradong isusumpa mo na ang salitang Love….kasi, lahat may kapalit. Kapag dumating sa puntong nasaktan ka, iyon ang pinaka-malupet sa lahat. Dahil hindi mo na ulit papangaraping ma-inlove ulit. Isang bagay na ayaw na ng isip mo…ngunit patuloy namang umaasa ang puso mo ng kapalit.

Una sa lahat, Nababadtrip akong makakita ng dalawang mag-syota na naglalandian. Holding hands, may pabulong-bulong-giggle effect, nagsusubuan, at marami pang iba. Hindi dahil bitter ako dahil wala akong syota, pero naman, bakit pa ganoon sila ka showy? Bakit kailangang ipakita sa publiko? Ang sarap nilang sigawan ng : “Hoy! Mag-check in na nga lang kayo!”. Nakakaasar. I’m really against public display of affection. Pero inuulit ko…Hindi ako bitter. Sabi nila tatanda raw akong dalaga, dahil monster ako at man-hater. Duh, pwes hindi ako natatakot tumanda ng walang kasama. Monster daw ako dahil masama lagi ang tingin ko sa mga mag-syotang nakakasabay ko sa jeep na naghaharutan. Kung may batas lang na ipakulong lahat ng naglalandian, siguro ang dami ng napatawan ng death penalty.

Well, iyon ang opinion ko nung una….pero may isa akong kaibigan na nag-kwento ng kaniyang miserable love life. Well, kaibigan ko yun kaya kahit naririndi ako sa kwento nya, nakikinig pa rin ako. I suddenly got curious. Napaka-talino at napaka-disente niyang babae pero nabiktima siya ng malupit na hagupit ni Pag-ibig? Then I realized, hindi pala talaga mapipigilan ang pag-ibig. Hindi ko inakalang mapapabilang siya sa dumaraming populasyon ng mga broken hearted sa Pilipinas. At umabot pa sa puntong muntik na siyang mapabilang sa mortality rate. Buti na lang at napigilan….kundi….goodbye Philippines and Good bye world na.

            Kaya kung ako ang masusunod, dapat maging mapanuri, mapagmatiyag, at huwag mapangahas (Matanglawin?!) tayo pagdating sa pag-ibig. Hindi lahat ng lalaki ay kasing bait at kasing buti ng iniisip mo, hindi lahat ng lalaking dadating sayo ay siya na ang Prince Charming mo (agad-agad?!). Looks can be damn deceiving! Dapat protektahan natin ang puso natin dahil sa mga taong walang pakialam sa nararamdaman nating mga kababaihan.

Huwag kang mawalan ng pag-asa o mag-inarteng magpakamatay na lamang dahil broken hearted ka. Bulok na ang style na yan. Okay lang masaktan, friend. Minsan kasi kailangan ituro ng mundo sayo ang tama sa paraang masasaktan ka. Para tigilan mo na ang mali at malaman mo ang pagkakaiba ng dapat sa hindi dapat! (Galing ko noh? Clap.Clap!).
